Have you already discovered just how much of new music you can find with just one click? There`s over 50 million songs on streaming services. We`re getting reports from the States showing us that in midst of the current pandemic, streaming has been getting more and more popular. Thanks to that, Drake achieved new records and took over the No 1 on American singles Top Charts with the song “Tootsie Slide”. And that brings us to the biggest news this week - Croatian Discographers Association (HDU) has a new Deezer profile that will satisfy music lovers all over! 

In this weeks episode we`ll talk about the new channel as well as Tedi Spalato`s new live album called “Sve ću preživit – u Lisinskom (Live)”. We have news all around; Dua Lipa is taking over the Top charts with her albums and singles, Madonna has joined Bill Gates in an effort to find the vaccine for the Corona virus, Colbie Caillat is going to perform at a virtual Uncancelled Festival, Drake published a new song and swept the streaming services, Beyonce`s Halo music video is her first video to reach one billion views, and the Grammy Museum has announced dates for online concerts of great musicians such as Courtney Barnett, Richard Marx and Sabrina Carpenter.

But, sadly, these days we lost some people that we`re bound to remember for a long time. maestro Ellis Marsalis, Adam Schlessinger from Fountains of Wayne, author of the hit song “I Love Rock&Roll” Alan Merrill and Bill Withers, author of great hits such as “Lean on Me” and “Ain`t No Sunshine”...

Musicians all over the world are sending the same message: We are in this together. They`re helping those in need and streaming their performances, charity shows and virtual festivals. We got to see a live performance of Billie Eilish, Justin Bieber, AURORA and Alicia Keys. Taylor Swift sent out checks of 3000 dollars to her fans who needed it most in these hard times. Miley Cyrus started a daily talk show Bright Minded from the comfort of her home.

This week in Incubator we talk about a campaign started by Hrvatska diskografska udruga, called #PjevajmoZaZagreb. We`ll listen to Zdenka Kovačićek, and hear the new version of Target`s album called „Jedan dan u Zagrebu“. We`ll also check out the HR Top 40 list on which Damir Kedžo. LUCE, Nina Badrić and Vatra run the show this week.

Music in the Age of Corona means loads of streamed concerts, communication via social media, listening to new songs on the radio in the comfort of our homes and discovering interesting stuff on streaming services. It also means discovering a whole new way to create our Incubator.

Just as always we bring you some musical news, new songs from our music scene, a glance of HR Top 40 and an album that brings smiles. And that`s just how we`d describe this week`s episode - filled with optimism and smiles. Exactly what we need these days...

In this episode we`ll hear songs from Cubismo and Nola, Mile Kekin, Luka Nižetić and Ogenj. Album of the week has an interesting name- Gluten Tag, and it`s the work of Helem nejse, a band from Sarajevo.

Corona is in command of our everyday lives these days. Concerts are being cancelled, socializing isn`t recommended, and sports events are getting postponed. Following the cancellation of the NBA season, Champions League and the Croatian First Football League, it`s debatable whether the European Football Championship is going to happen either.

Oh, Kornelije and Ana have also been separated by COVID-19. But don`t be saddened, our favorite duo found a way to film the new episode "together but apart" - Ana is reporting from home this week and she is eager to bring you some of the best Croatian music.

Back to the news - We`re witnessing a new trend. Concerts have become streaming events. Also, new music is coming to streaming platforms. Rita Ora, Ava MAX, The Killers and Justin Timberlake have all recently blessed us with new music.

And not just them. Croatian music scene is equally lively. This weeks Incubator is proof. Amongst many others, we`ll hear songs by Nina Badrić, Mia Negovetić, Jure Brkljača and Damir Kedžo. Album of the week belongs to Baltazar who bring us some hard rock sounds.
